A different kind of workshop
Maine Workshops is a curated series of immersive photography experiences held at Blenheim Park Maine—a lakeside orchard and creative estate in midcoast Maine. These are not large-scale programs or lecture-based classes. They are small, intentional gatherings designed for photographers who are ready to move beyond surface-level work—who want to reconnect with their creative voice, deepen their practice, and create work that holds meaning. Led by world-class photographers—including Greg Gorman, Maggie Steber, Sarah Leen, Pamela Springsteen, and others—each program is built around direct access, rigorous feedback, and real creative development.
Why WE exist
After years working across the photography world—from the International Center of Photography in New York to leading global collaborations with NOOR—I became increasingly aware of the gap between what photographers are seeking and what most programs provide.
More information isn’t the answer.
More gear isn’t the answer.
What’s missing is space—
to think, to experiment, to be challenged, and to be in meaningful conversation with your work.
These workshops were built to offer exactly that.
Why this matters now
You’ve likely felt this already. We live in a time of endless images, constant output, and immediate feedback—but very little depth.
It’s easy to improve technically. It’s much harder to understand what you’re trying to say—and why it matters. At some point, every photographer reaches that threshold: where more tutorials won’t move you forward. What you need is clarity. Direction. Space to go deeper.
That’s the work we do here.
What makes US different
Each workshop is:
Intentionally small — allowing for real access, conversation, and one-on-one guidance
Led by world-class photographers — chosen not just for their work, but for their ability to teach, challenge, and engage
Set within a retreat environment — orchards, lake, gardens, and quiet that allow you to step away from the noise
Structured, but responsive — shaped by light, weather, and the creative energy of the group
This is as much about how you think and see as what you produce.
The setting
Workshops take place at Blenheim Park Maine—a 16-acre lakeside orchard and creative estate.
This is not a neutral venue. It is a working landscape, where the rhythms of the land shape the experience—where mornings begin with light, conversations unfold over shared meals, and ideas develop in motion, not just at a desk. People often arrive expecting a workshop. They leave having experienced something closer to a reset.
